2023 Season
Hi Stingray Families!
It's summer swim team time and we look forward to welcoming you back to the pool!
We are hoping this summer brings back some memories of past seasons when we could all get together and enjoy the meets and practices together.
Fortunately we have both of our coaches returning for year two together. Megan Jackman will return as the Head Coach and Roscoe Flint will remain the Assistant Coach.
Registration will open April 1st. To secure a T-Shirt with registration, please sign up by May 14th!
Our Team and Our League
Along with the eight other teams of the Suburban Swim League, we aim to provide a safe, fun and fair environment in which our children develop swimming skills and an appreciation for the sport.
The mission of the Bent Tree Swim Team is to create an environment that fosters:
- Fair, fun and friendly competition with a healthy balance between individual development and team success
- Strong family, neighborhood and community involvement
- Appreciation for the sport of swimming
We are thrilled so many families plan on coming back this year and are excited for new swimmers to join, too! Our main concern is the safety of our children during practice, as well making sure every child has the opportunity to enhance their swimming skills, endurance and HAVE FUN!
Who is eligible to participate on the Stingrays Swim Team?
Any resident between the age of 5-18 that lives within the boundaries of Cedar Creek Elementary and does not live within The Five Neighborhoods of Winterset is eligible. Grandchildren of Bent Tree Bluffs residents are also eligible.
Our season will begin with practices starting Tuesday, May 30th (pending school extensions and pool opening) and run through Friday, July 14th . Our swim meets are every Wednesday, with the first meet on Wednesday, June 7th and our last meet will be Wednesday, July 12th. A championship meet will be held on Saturday, July 15th.
